Privacy Policy

This website (marsiglia.digital) is a personal blog about SEO and UX, run by Susanna Marsiglia. I care about your privacy, and I've built this site to respect it by design.

The short version

This site does not track you. It uses no analytics, sets no cookies, and contains no contact forms. It does not collect, store, or process any personal data about you directly. It does run a small amount of local-only JavaScript, described below, purely for on-page functionality — none of it observes, profiles, or transmits anything about you.

What this site does NOT do

  • No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Cloudflare Web Analytics, and no other tracking or measurement tool of any kind.
  • No cookies, and almost no local storage. This site sets no cookies. It stores a single, non-identifying value in your browser's local storage — your light/dark mode preference — so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. That value never leaves your browser and isn't used for tracking.
  • Minimal client-side scripts. The site is fully static content-wise. A small amount of local JavaScript handles a few on-page features: the light/dark mode toggle, a "copy link" button for sharing articles (which uses your browser's clipboard, and nothing else), a "back to top" scroll shortcut, and the mobile navigation menu. None of it observes, profiles, or transmits any data about you.
  • No forms. There is no contact form, newsletter signup, or comment system. I don't collect your email address or any other information through this site.
  • No third-party resources. All assets (fonts, images) are served from this site's own domain. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts, external CDNs, or any third-party service when loading these pages. Fonts are self-hosted.

The one thing that does happen: hosting

This site is served through Cloudflare, my hosting and content delivery provider. Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes certain technical data necessary to deliver the site and keep it secure — this typically includes your IP address, browser user-agent, and basic request logs. This processing is carried out by Cloudflare as part of providing the hosting infrastructure, and is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy practices. I do not have access to, collect, or retain this technical data for my own purposes.

This site contains links to external platforms (such as LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Instagram, GitHub, Pexels, Unsplash, and other websites). When you click these links, you leave this site and those destinations have their own privacy policies, which I don't control. I'd encourage you to review the privacy practices of any site you visit.

The site also links to PayPal for an optional "buy me a coffee" donation. That link only takes you to PayPal's own site — I don't receive or process any payment information myself, and PayPal handles that transaction under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Since I don't collect or hold any personal data about you through this site, there is no personal data of yours for me to access, correct, or delete. If you have any questions about privacy on this site, you can reach me through the channels listed on my About page.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever changes in a way that affects privacy (for example, if I add a contact form or any other feature that processes data), I'll update this policy and the "last updated" date above before that feature goes live.
